Happy Valentines

I thought it was Christmas morning judging by the excitement from Taylor the minute he woke up!

I've never seen ANYONE so excited for Valentines. He had cool spiderman cards with stickers of course to be handed out at school. And of course the dozens waiting to be given to him. I thought this was the only reason behind his excitement. Those sweet days at 5 years old when you didn't have to worry about having a "boyfriend" for the 14th. Everyone got the same thing in the same amount.

After acting like a total lunatic - just like any kid on Christmas morning - he quickly got sent to his room to take a breather and calm down. And almost immediately asked to go to the bathroom to throw up. We thought it was just nerves and excitement but as the morning went on we realized he definitely had the bug. Which meant no school, no cards today.

He of course was mortified that he was missing Valentines day. He just had to go to school. We talked about Valentines being about showing each other how much you love them. And hey, can't we and shouldn't we do that everyday? Boy did that cheer him up.

The next day, the cards were waiting for him at school and his spiderman cards were signed sealed and delivered. Don't be surprised if one day in July Taylor calls you up or sends you a Valentines card.

Happy Valentine's Everyone.
